Welcome to The Soap Magician
|
I began making my own soaps way back in 1998. My journey
started out as a quest to find a soap that would be mild and not
cause "hot spots" on my skin. Now don't be upset, but I never
went through the acne stage as a teenager. I'm well, let me
repeat, well over that stage of my life, but my skin is still
extremely sensitive. There are several well-known products out
in the world of cleansing, that would send my skin running for the
hills. Which is a where I
eventually want to retire. But that has nothing to do with the
subject at hand.
On
my website,
you will find natural soaps made the old-fashion way using all
natural vegetable oils such as coconut oil which is useful for dry, itchy,
sensitive skin. And olive oil which has the properties of being calming,
demulcent and emollient and can be used to relieve itchy skin.
I also have a line of natural glycerin soaps made from the
finest quality natural pure vegetable glycerin
with coconut oil, and other natural additives. I only use Sodium Laureth Sulfate
(SLS), or
Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate (SLES) FREE glycerin soap base.
Most of my soaps are scented with fragrance oils formulated for
soaps, because quite frankly, the suds aren't on the skin long
enough to have the benefits that essential oils provide. And
there are some people who are allergic to plant material. I
do, however, make some soaps that contain only essential oils.

And some even contain resins. Like my Dragon's Blood soap that
is made using an old New Orleans protection blend.
I try to never forget there are people, like me, who have very
sensitive skin. And therefore, regardless of which method I
use whether it is fragrance oils, essential oils, or a combination
of both, my soaps will be labeled with the ingredients.
Some of my old-fashioned natural soaps contain animal
products such as lard and in consideration of my vegetarian and vegan
friends, this information will also be indicated in the soap
description and ingredients. Several varieties of my soaps will contain herbs and flowers, and in some of my colorful soaps, FDA approved soap
color.
And I am very proud of the ingredients I use.

I am a resident of a small Florida town, called Zephyrhills,
which is known for its bottled water, Zephyrhills Spring
Water. Our water is obtained from underground springs. The
distilled/purified spring water is what I use in my soaps, etc.
making.
